Bucket List Travel: Plitvice Lakes National Park

November 18, 2018

If you enjoy marvelous hues of teal, glorious natural scenes and endless cascading waterfalls, Plitvice National Park is a must go place for you.  It truly is a marvel.  Plitvice hails an outstanding amount of waterfalls within its walkable borders.  This is truly a wonderful place and I definitely recommend visiting.  But don't just take my word for it, enjoy these gorgeous photos from the park! (Check out a full photo album here.)

A gorgeous walking path circles around the main lake and allows you to get to multiple parts of the park on foot.

There is also a ferry that can take you to across the lake as well.

In the upper section water is literally flowing everywhere. To get around the falls, you walk along wooden bridges and staircases.  They provide a gorgeous vision amongst the water and let you get up and close with all the features of the park.

Waterfalls. Everywhere. No exaggeration.

(This isn't even all the waterfalls! View the full album for more!)

You can explore the entirety of this park within one day, including the hiking trails and ferry.  It was quite a wonder with all it had to offer.

The prices were reasonable too and if you are a student, make sure to show your ID for a big discount.

The only downfall to this park would have to be the amount of people during the summer months.  As this makes walking around difficult on the narrow paths and photo ops more crowded.

Although, we found the upper hiking trails pretty close to vacant, until the waterfalls.

I absolutely recommend this wonderful place as a must on any bucket list.  I have never experienced anything quite like it.
